Penny is an 8 week old Jack Russell Terrier/Pomeranian mix who was rescued on her way into the South LA Shelter. One of our volunteers was on her way through the door (picking up another dog that we rescued) when she met a man who was on his way to turn Penny into the shelter. She was covered in fleas and so tiny, at only 3.5 lbs. - she looked scared and so sad. Fast forward a couple of weeks, Penny is now a playful, happy 4 lb. 8 week old puppy in a foster home with other small dogs and one pit puppy who is Penny’s best friend. She loves to play, as tiny as she is; she loves to run and chase all of the other dogs. She is being crate-trained, has received her first set of vaccines, has been de-wormed and is now ready for her forever home. This puppy will only be adopted to the Southern CA area.
