Olive is a three-and-a-half-year-old, 45-lb lab/samoyed mix. She loves going for walks and running around outside, but is equally happy to snuggle up on the couch with you for a little tv time. Bonus: she will even let you hold the remote! Olive is fully housebroken and will let you know she needs to go out by waiting patiently by the door. She loves treats and will "sit" for them. Though she is curious about squirrels and stray cats, she lived peacefully with three cats in her
previous home. She cannot, however, live with small dogs because she does not like when they jump on her or try to play with her. Olive is devoted to her person, loving, and extremely well-behaved. Call 326-PAWS or send an email to adoptions@caninerescue.org to request an application for Olive.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application. This avoids the disappointment of someone else has "beating you to it" because they were pre-approved. Processing an application does not take us very long but we do insist that all potential adopters are approved before placing a dog. Applying is very simple. Just log on to our website at
Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue and select Adopt a Dog from the menu on the left side of the homepage. Just above the photo gallery you will see Adoption Application giving you a choice of 2 formats. Select one of these and complete the information requested, then save it as a file and e mail it to us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours of sending your application, please call us at 716/326-PAWS. And be sure to check out all the dogs and puppies eagerly awaiting homes.
