Deacon is a one-year-old Dachshund/Shibu Inu mix rescued from the Devore Animal Shelter. He weighs about 19 lbs. He is considered a small dog by weight however he has a medium dog “feel.” He is a great size! Deacon has beautiful markings and two little pieces of caramel for eyebrows. He is very sweet and loves to play ball and run around. He will follow you around and keep you company. He is smart and loves to give you kisses. Deacon will jump on your lap and make himself at home. He is very friendly with all dogs, both big and small and is not a barker nor does he chew on things. He is a quiet guy and a joy to have around. And, he does not bother the two cats nor the Box Tortoise who also live in the foster home. Deacon is potty trained and is not a leg lifter in the house (though potty reinforcement is required in any new environment). He also walks pretty well on the leash.
