Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Birthdate: 2/23/12
Gender: Male, neutered
Breed: Schnauzer/Spaniel mix
That look.. .. that name.. .. poor Sal is being prematurely aged, and he’s only 3 months old! We even made him wear a tie for his photo shoot. Whatever will a puppy do?
Sal has one answer for that: Play!
He might look like a little old man and be saddled with an old name, but Sal is all puppy, and there’s no doubt about it. He’s having a great time with the kids in his foster home, and they can’t get enough of him.
But when it’s quiet time and everyone is snuggled on the couch, Sal is right there, curled up in a convenient lap and soaking up all the attention. What more could a guy ask for?
This adorable little guy is actually.. .. *drum roll* Schnauzer/Yorkie/Cocker Spaniel/Lab according to his former owners who still have both of his parents. He definitely takes more after the Schnauzer side of the family though. We’re expecting him to be 30 to 40 pounds when he’s all grown up, so potential adopters should plan on a medium-sized dog.
Sal loves pretty much everyone. He’s currently living with an adult dog and several kids, but when he was at the shelter, he got to meet dogs of all sizes, lots of kids and even cats, and he thought they were all great.
Sal is not yet housebroken, but he’s a very smart little guy, so we’re sure he’ll master it quickly once he gets some more practice in. He’s already experienced a bit of crate training and does fantastic in the crate (no accidents!) so we definitely recommend continuing with his crate training once he’s in his new home.
While he waits for a new home, Sal is hanging out in foster care, but he would love to meet you! Please give us a call at 330–397–8270 to schedule an appt to meet him at the shelter. He has already been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated, so he’s ready to join your family right away!
