My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wookie W. Woofinpaws, Esquire is a dog with a very sad history. He was picked up by the city shelter as a stray, and came in in horrible conditions, looking like a giant mop. He had clearly been homeless for a very long time and was horribly neglected. He had experienced some kind of trauma causing him to have air under his skin. He has since been shaved down, treated for his medical condition, and is learning to be in a home. He gets along fine with other dogs but does have a bit of food possessiveness. He knows how to use a dog door but still has some indoor marking behavior as he has always lived on the streets. He would do best in a home with at least one other dog and preferably a yard. He is mostly crate trained and sleeps through the night when crated. Wookie needs an experienced adopter who will be patient with him to show him that humans can be trusted. He bonds to people very quickly. He is probably around three years old, neutered, up to date on shots and dewormed.
