My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Posted May 16th....Meet Prince, born who will be 5 years old on December 4th, and only 10 pounds. He is a Min Pin / Yorkie Mix and an owner surrender due to a break up.

Prince is a very active little boy. He is a little shy of strangers when he first meets them, but he does warm up if he is given the time and space he needs to get to know them. The upside is you won't have to worry about your guests being jumped on. He wants to come to you on his own time. He loves all other dogs, and plays well with them in day care 4 days a week. Prince loves walks and checking out the neighborhood.

Prince LOVES to snuggle and watch TV with his foster mom and even stand on his foster dads chest when he wants attention. He likes the kitty in the foster home, but it did take him a while to get used to her. The foster home has a pet rat, and Prince likes to chase the rat around for play, but he doesn't hurt him. He loves to go outside and chase the birds, bunnies and squirrels out of the yard, so if you have a garden, Prince would be a great guardian of your garden.

Prince was an owner surrender due to a break up, and now this sweet boy is looking for a family that will really love him for the rest of his life. He would make a terrific pet for any family. Prince is allergic to corn, so he is eating a no grain food.

Prince is being fostered in a Plainfield home. If your application is approved you could either meet Prince at the foster mom's home in Plainfield or at Central Bark Doggy Daycare in Oswego as he attends doggy daycare during the day 4 days a week. If you would like to meet this absolutely terrific dog, please go to the angelsonwheels.org to complete the on-line application. Please be patient with the process. We are all volunteers trying to make a difference. It does take a few days to process applications.

The adoption fee of $150.00 includes: His neutering which is already done, Heart worm tested negative, heart worm preventative, microchipped, rabies vaccinated, received his bordatella vaccination for the prevention of kennel cough, up to date on vaccination for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park or Wheaton Animal Hospital, a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

The adoption also comes with a free puppy/doggy class through Flydogs located at Central Bark Doggie Day Care in Oswego, which introduces you to housebreaking, name recognition, crate training, sit/stay and leash walking. This is one free class you really don't want to miss, and 10% off purchase of a 10-day care package for dogs attending Central Bark Doggy Day Care in Oswego.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them.

If you are within 60 miles of Oswego, IL you can do a 1 week home trial visit (where he lives with you for 1 week) to see how sweet Prince is.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home.
