Moxie is a very friendly, responsive, playful and energetic, two-year-old, 48-pound, female Border Collie or Spitz-mix looking for a loving guardian. Moxie came into the Save-A-Pet shelter with heartworm disease. She has finished her treatment and will be spayed after her next heartworm test scheduled for May 15th. She enjoys other dogs but has to stay calm and quiet for a few more weeks following her treatment … she’s looking forward to some future doggie play dates! To meet and possibly adopt Moxie, please fill out the adoption application at: http://saveapetil.org/sites/default/files/app_DOG.pdf and follow up by contacting the Save-A-Pet shelter at adoptions@saveapetil.org or 847.740.7788. Her adoption fee of $150 benefits the rescued dogs of Save-A-Pet. She is de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and will be spayed in Mid-May following the completion of her heartworm treatment. You can meet Moxie and all the other Save-A-Pet residents at the adoption center at 31664 N. Fairfield Rd., in Grayslake, Illinois, on Monday and Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Thursday from 1:00 to 8:00 pm, or Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
