My story

Minnie is cute-as-a-button and she just can’t wait to find her forever home! She has a little squished face (from either a pekingese or pug relative) with lively black eyes, which are set off by her auburn fur. Minnie’s soft coat is gorgeous and it feels like soft silk. We think she inherited this coat from a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mom or dad. Minnie is still a youngster at around 16 months although she is full grown and weighs 11 pounds.


Minnie is very playful and her absolute very favorite thing to do is to chase any size tennis ball from extra small to the enormous one that her big foster sister plays with. You throw it and she will run after it. Minnie is pretty good about bringing them back to you and when she tires of that game she will play tennis ball soccer and keep herself entertained. Minnie has also been known to carry tennis balls along on her walks. She also loves to play fuzzy-toy-tug-of-war with any other dog that will engage her in it-she is tenacious at it!


Minnie is getting the hang of the leash and loves to go on walks to meet new people and dogs. Her housetraining is coming along very well and she is completely crate trained. She will be fully vetted and ready for her new home on April 16th. We already know that Minnie is heartworm negative, and we have her on preventative, and so she just needs her shots, spay, and microchip. Minnie would do well with other dogs or by herself as long as she has lots of toys and attention. She also doesn’t care if she lives in a house or an apartment as long as she gets plenty of exercise and tennis ball chasing time in.
