Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update July 22: Where are all the Border Collie people?? Bullwinkle is STILL waiting in boarding for someone to come and take him home! The director of the kennel has this to say about him "Bullwinkle is a really good dog, he swims, bikes and comes to me when I blow a whistle. He is a typical Border Collie, very smart. He is great in his kennel, never poops or pees, I can leave the flap open all night and he doesn't bark. He will go out have a run around with Rocky or one of his lady friends and then be waiting at the door to go back to his kennel."
We received an urgent request from some friends down South about a dog they need moved asap. BULLWINKLE is a young (1-2 year) border collie/Newf mix, approximately 60lbs, that was spotted running around a truck stop with his buddy (aptly named Rocky!). They were there for over two weeks fending for themselves until they were picked up and put into a boarding facility. ETAA found rescues for both dogs, but the rescue that had stepped up for Bullwinkle backed out last minute after getting involved with a hoarding situation (they acquired 100+ dogs this weekend...). This group is not set up to pay for boarding long term, and have 2 other dogs in boarding too so they have sent us a plea to get Bullwinkle into a foster home. He is being described as being gentle in nature, and willing to please. He is reportedly good with other dogs, and highly food motivated. His feelings towards cats and kids are unknown at this time. He does need some work with walking on a leash. He is fond of affection and loves to give kisses. While he is not at risk of being euthanized, his staying in boarding prevents this group from being able to support their mandate (spay/neuter education). We would love to help out, we just need somewhere for him to go! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE UPDATE OUR SITE AS OFTEN AS WE CAN. INFORMATION IS POSTED AS IT COMES TO US. IF THIS DOG IS LISTED, IT IS AVAILABLE, THOUGH WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS AND ANY DOG\'S STATUS CAN CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.*nb all the information we have on this dog is here.
