Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Addie, a sweet female 10 month old Shiba Inu mix who only weighs about 30 pounds. Addie was recently rescued from South Carolina and is now ready for her forever home. She came to NY along with her sister Roxy, and is currently in a foster home. She is good with other dogs, though a little shy initially, and loves people. She is handling our cat well, but if you have one, they need to be dog-saavy. Addie is very playful and would do best in a household with at least one other dog. She already knows sit and down and is working on paw, and is housebroken. She walks well on leash, except when she sees her arch enemy- a squirrel. She really loves to chase them whenever she sees them, so a visible, secure fence is required for her: she would not respond well to an invisible fence. Addie is able to be left uncrated while her foster mom goes to work, but does need plenty of exercise to maintain her lady-like indoor manners: this is not the dog for a couch potato. She thoroughly enjoys running, and would make an incredible agility or fly-ball dog as she is smart, eager to please, agile, and fast. Addie wants little more than to please her people and get attention. Addie does fit most characteristics of a Shiba to a "T"... most notably not being trustworthy off-leash, so she is not a dog for someone looking for an off-leash beach dog. Her foster in totally in love with her and feels she would do well in most active, adventurous homes! Please consider bringing home this foxy-looking little lady home.
