My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE! The best method of contact for quick response is by way of e-mail.

Ruby is a five-year-old either pure-bred Jack Russell Terrier, pure-bred Smooth Coated Fox Terrier, or a mix of both of those breeds. She was rescued from the Moreno Valley Shelter on the day that she was scheduled to be euthanized, due to overcrowding at the shelter (she had been there longer than some of the other dogs).

Ruby is a fantastic little dog in that she is responsive and obedient, very well behaved, and makes for a great companion dog. She walks amazingly well on the leash and stays right at your side and does not pull. She came to the rescue knowing how to go out of the doggie door and with a clear sense of potty training, so my feeling is that she was cared for and lived inside; how she became a stray is an unknown.

Ruby desires to be in a more or less quiet home where she can love her humans and be loved by them as well. She prefers to be the only dog in the home. She jumps right in for a car ride and rides well in the car. She crates well and sleeps peacefully in her crate throughout the night. She is not a barker nor is she hyper. She weighs 15 pounds and is a handsome Piebald-colored Jack.

Ruby has been spayed and we went ahead and gave her a deep dental cleaning while she was under the anesthesia so that an adopter will not have to worry about that for awhile. She has one chipped tooth that according to the vet has been there most of her life and does not seem to cause her any problems so the vet felt it was best to just leave it be.

Ruby is de-wormed, fully vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped.
