Approximate age / weight: Nicholas is about 2 yrs old and weighs about 12lbs
Knows Basic Commands: Yes, knows basic commands
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Arrival story: Nicholas was running the streets of Detroit with a pack of 4 other larger dogs. A good Samaritan who was leaving food out for the pack was able to catch Nicholas as he had trouble keeping up with his longer-legged pals. Thankfully, she contacted Waggin' Tails who was able to take Nicholas in and give him the second chance at life he deserves.
Personality: Nicholas is now safe and warm in the comfort of his foster home. He gets along well with the resident dog and was very excited to meet the little 4-year-old girl who lives there. He is good with kids and loves cuddling up with you on your lap. He is crate trained, house trained and loves going for walks. Nicholas has not been introduced to cats so it is unknown how he would interact with them.
Forever home: Nicholas appears to fit into many different situations. He is very affectionate and does well with kids and other dogs. An invisible fence is NOT recommended as it appears he has a high prey drive, and since he was a stray, he is used to running.

Our volunteers have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries are the quickest way to obtain information about a dog.
