Sport is an outrageously handsome neutered male flat coated retriever (and probably black lab) mix. This boy has it all - looks and personality!

Sport has a sleek black coat with just a bit of curl on his back, legs, tail and ears. His coat is so black it almost has a blue sheen to it. He has sparkling brown button eyes that give you that quizzical dog look - like "What are you thinking? Do you have a treat for me? The small spot of what on his chin adds just a bit of relief from the deep black of the rest of his coat - a little beard if you will.

Sport has all the attributes that makes retrievers and labs the most popular dogs in the world - smart, loyal, loving and eager to please their humans. He is a well behaved fella, but he's got a bit of that just out of puppyhood energy left. He's always ready to go for a walk, chase a ball or head out for a run - and then settle down on the couch with his humans.

All dogs at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea prevention. All dogs 6 months or older are tested for heartworms. Adoptions come with a small bag of Hill's Science Diet food and a free one month trial of pet health insurance.
