Meet Precious ! This beautiful Girl Dogo Argentino (Argentinean Dogo) is currently fostering with many other 'bully" breeds in our program. He owner was arrested and jailed. By no fault of her own Precious was taken to the shelter to await her owner's release. That never happened, so this innocent beauty fell victim to another irresponsible pet owner. If that's not bad enough, Precious was also nursing nine of her babies who were separated from her upon arrival to the shelter. With no protection and immune system set in place, they fell victim to Parvo while at the shelter. We were lucky enough to be able to pull two of the babies prior to them contracting the virus along with Precious and reunite them here at our facility. So there is a happy ending in all this. All the monies, funding, and donations pledged for taking on this beautiful fell through which happens so often in rescue.
They are being cared for here at Smashface Rescue, and getting all the training, love, and attention they deserve !

Precious's current foster caregiver understands and is experienced with the ability and nature of the breed. We still require an owner that has prior experience with large and or "bully" breeds. She is amazing around people but, and kids and just lets anyone love on her. Precious's previous owner didn't treat her with the love and attention she needs so she is now getting it with her at our facility, but she has to share her time with all the other dogs in need, and really enjoys her one on one time. Precious is a sweetheart of a dog, and would make an amazing companion for anyone lucky enough to adopt her. She loves to sit on your lap as if she were a lap dog. However, like most adult bully breeds, Precious needs structure and boundaries. She needs a confident, firm pack leader to help her maintain her place in the pack. When we say this, we do not mean that someone needs to be rough with her or use excessive negative training methods. Rather, Precious simply needs an owner who will continue to use her training commands, exercise her regularly, and have her follow house rules.

Precious is now 2 1/2 years, she is spayed, micro chipped, up to date on all vaccines, crate trained, and housebroke.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE PRIOR PIT BULL, MASTIFF, AMERICAN BULLDOG, OR OTHER BULLY BREED EXPERIENCE TO ADOPT THIS TYPE OF BREED FROM US. YOU ALSO MUST TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR LIVING SITUATION, IE: KIDS, OTHER ANIMALS, ACTIVITY LEVEL, ETC

All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, dewormed, licensed, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. All of our dogs, young and old are crate trained. This gives the new owner a head start for house breaking, and to curb any separation anxiety and or destructive behavior. Most of our dogs are in foster homes and we are able to tell you lots about each of their personalities. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An adoption fee, application, and contract are required.
