My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harry is a 2-year-old, 17-lb Maltese-Dachshund mix. He was found in an abandoned house after an adventurous trip around town. When the ACO found him, he was all matted and full of fleas. They brought him to the vet and got him cleaned up.

Harry is currently being fostered in Methuen with a foster brother. They love to chill out on the green comfy couch together and nap until mommy or daddy come home to feed them. Sometimes Harry helps his foster brother protect our house by scaring away noises outside--such an important job! Harry is our dog's cheerleader.

Harry is an extremely friendly dog! He will greet your guest and charm them; he gives everyone a world-class greeting each time they come through the door. In his eyes, you're a celebrity!

Harry prefers a female parent. He doesn't shed, so he would be great for an allergy sufferer. His hair does require some maintenance, at least occasional brushing to prevent matting and tangling.

Harry's weak point is growling at people who interrupt his naps; he's just a little scared and startled. For this reason, a house with kids younger than 10 isn't ideal. Hopefully, a loving home will help him outgrow this behavior!
