Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It seemed like fate for me to rescue Jazzi. The first time I saw her on the animal control site I thought she was adorable. I closed the site thinking, "we don't need anymore fosters." Then a few days later one staff member emailed to say, "have you seen Chloe (her name then) at animal control?" Then in another couple of days I got a second email from a different employee. The final straw was when I received another email from the person in charge at the animal control. He sent out a broad email saying that she had been there over a week from her scheduled kill date. She was such a great dog he didn't want to put her down. Unfortunately it had reached a point where she needed to be put down due to room at their facility. I emailed and said I'd be in to meet her the next day.
When I first met Jazzi, she was in a pen with another dog. She was super excited to see us, bouncing and bonging all around the pen and on us. She was a skinny little petite girl that had the legs of a super model, lol. Since I was currently looking for an outgoing foster to become my next in-home dog for training, I just knew she would be a good fit.
Jazzi has been a surprise to me. She's not the bouncy crazy thing she was at animal control. Yes she has puppy energy but when it comes time for training and leaning manners she is very calm and thoughtful. I'm working on training her more extensively than our other fosters normally are. She is a great mix of playfulness and intelligence. She enjoys my other dogs and loves toys.
Jazzi looks just like what I think a puppy would look if her parent's where a doberman and a whippet. Now the chances of those two getting together is slim to none, however I think that gives the perfect visual description of what she looks like. I think she is pretty striking. We estimate her to be between 1 and 2 years old. She's very petite. Right now she is way too skinny. Her healthy weight will probably be around 26lbs.
