Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We pulled Louis from a high volume pound in the Southern US this past winter, and placed him on a foster to adopt. At the time we knew that he was good with dogs, but had no idea how he would be with cats. It was apparent early on that he had the hound instinct to bay and harass the cat. We have been working with his current foster mom to desensitize him around cats - and he has made some improvement, but it seems that the drive to chase cats is who he is. While it was a very difficult decision, his foster mom has decided that he is best to go to a home without cats, or at least with a cat that doesnt mind dogs. He is great with other dogs (a bit forward upon intro, but otherwise fine), and friendly with all he meets. He LOVES attention, and will sit for hours to be pet and loved on. He does have some separation anxiety, though again we are working with him to get through it. He is crate trained, housetrained, and knows sit, lie down, paw and is working on stay. He walks well on a leash. He is a very settled dog given his age, and is fairly low maintenance around the house.
