Portia was rescued from a high volume kill shelter in Ohio. She had been found as a stray and the dog warden didn't have the heart to kill such a happy, playful, affectionate dog so we were called to save the day. Portia does not seem to have any dog aggression and even shared her kennel at the pound she came from with other dogs but would be most happy if she were the only dog in the home or were with a male dog of her choosing. She loves to curl up in your lap (all 60 lbs of her) and get lots of love. While she adores children, she is a very exuberant pup with boundless energy that may overwhelm small children under 5. She will need a new family with previous dog experience and vet references. Home visit required.
