How our hearts go out to Candy - an Akita/Pyrenees cross who is grieving the loss of her lifetime (6 yrs) human. Akitas are are loyal and dedicated to their human, so it will take a patient, consistent person to win her over. Candy needs containment when not on a leash as she is ready in a split second to run and go looking for her (deceased) companion. She generally plays well with other dogs and is fond of puppies and cats.
