My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HOWDY! My name is Bandit, I'm a Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix and I am sooo happy to be an Okie! You see, I came here from Kentucky with the help of some good folks of Oklahoma and Great Pyrenees Rescue of OK. I had lived my life horribly neglected and on an end of a short chain until one day a nice lady came and saved me; she said there are nice people in Oklahoma and I could find a great family here to call my own so I am really excited and ready to sniff out my fur-ever home!

I know I might not be much to look at right now, but my beautiful coat wasn't brushed or kept clean so it took hours for all the mats to be cut out and my skin was so infected with hotspots that they had to shave my hair off to wash my infected skin and boy do I feel good now! My foster mom says once my coat grows back I'll be doubly adorable!

I may be a mix breed but I'm 100% love bug! I love kids and I meet everyone with a wagging tail and a great big sloppy kiss. I have a great time playing with dogs of all sizes and I know to be nice to cats as well. I'm in a great foster home where I'm doing good at house training, crate training and indoor manners. I still need some work remembering to not pull on the leash, I just get so excited to go for walks cause I've never gotten to before now, but my no-pull harness helps me walk nice.

Oh, I'm suppose to tell you that I am about 3-4 years young, I have all my vaccinations, heart worm negative, I've been neutered and I have a clean bill of health. I am getting extra groceries to put on a little more weight still, but all I really need now is to find a family that'll love me as much as I'll love them, so if that could be you please contact GPR of OK at deanne@mathey.com or doreent@cameron.edu and tell 'em Bandit sent you. I hope to meet you real soon!

Pyrs in OK are available for adoption to surrounding states but do not have transport options to the northeast at this time.
