MEET MISTEE...who came from the Carson Shelter with her gal pals, Looki and Leia. All three girls were left there when their senior owner died. She is a beautiful, mostly b/w with a little brown, 4 yr old, 15 lb, Lhasa/Peke ???? mix. To be honest with you, we really don't know what breed she is! She and her friend, Leia, look very similar, with the same type of coat....but it's hard to tell what her mix really is. She does shed some, so probably not hypoallergenic. When Mistee came out of the shelter, much like Leia and Looki, she was petrified. This tells us that she has led a rather protected life with little socialization. She had a horrible case of kennel cough upon her exit, but she is now healthy and looking like a beauty queen! She does have her quirks...she is still getting used to unexpected movement and unfamiliar sounds, but the only healing agent for this is more socialization and practice. Mistee would be best as your one and only, even though she has lived with other dogs. She seems to want all your attention and will let the other dogs know! She does not like sharing your lap, but her foster is teaching her manners. At the same time, she is not crazy about being left alone...she loves having people time...but would be fine for a couple of hours at a time. She does have a cute "howl" which she "uses" to get your attention or something she wants....but she is not yappy or annoyingly vocal. She loves to play and would be great with a couple of kids over 10 yrs old...who could be active with her and give her tons of attention! Might not be the best dog in an apartment or condo! Mistee is also learning bathroom manners, but if she is anything like Looki and Leia, she will get it pretty quickly. They are all very smart! Mistee just needs to learn that the world is bigger than the room she has been living in...and we believe she will blossom into a fantastic companion! No hard on the eyes, either! She really is a beautiful pup, with a gorgeous coat and big brown eyes that demand...."TAKE ME HOME!!!" Are you listening?
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
