January 2013 update: "My name is Mandy and I am a loving sweet girl who has been through more than most in my life. I am about four years old now and my southern foster home has LOTS of foster dogs coming and going. I teach them how much fun it is to live in a house, and I tolerate all the shenanigans of puppies on up to grownup dogs. Those puppies can be tiring sometimes but I am good with them, I especially love human kids. I am tolerant of cats, and I like my people, and a good couch cushion to snooze on!

About 3 years ago, I was just a young girl myself. My sister Chloe and I both were rescued from a situation that wasn't too good. We were both pregnant and had babies about the same time. All the babies got adopted in New England and they are great, sweet grownups now. My sister even got to go north because a wonderful family of one of her daughters adopted her! I couldn't go north because I had heartworm disease - what a pain THAT is! But now I am healthy and ready to roll!

I wish it was my turn! My looks make people think twice but no matter what my breed mix is, I am fun and sweet and there is not an aggressive bone in my body. I would like to live with you for many years and run and play. My one and only wish is to find a family who can give me lots of attention, treats, and a warm place to live. I love my house now but a few less dogs would be nice ; 0 )

I am housetrained and I don't mind being crated. I wouldn't mind being the only dog in your family, or I could play with another canine buddy. I LOVE going for walks and I do really well on leash. I think I'd be a great hiking buddy.

Like many of our adoptable cuties, Mandy is with a partner rescue or shelter in the south. In order to bring her north we need a loving indoor foster home to care for this sweetie while she waits for her forever home.

**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**
