Arrival story: Hi, my name is Rosey! I am 8 months old and super smart. My foster mom and dad tell me that I am super smart all the time. The vet thinks that I am an Australian Kelpie and Lab MIx. I am a petite girl, kind of on the small side. My hair color is chocolate with red highlights, and I have green eyes. I'm told I'm very striking! I am underweight at 21 lbs, but should put on some weight now that I will be feed every day by my foster parents. I should weigh around 25 - 30 lbs.
I was found off I-96 Expressway Service Drive when a good Samaritan stopped to help me and my litter mate. There was a terriable accident early one morning. My litter mate was hit and killed by a car on I-96 service drive as I watched. He was my buddy and I could not leave his side, even when he was killed. The good Samaritan saw my litter mate get hit and stopped to help us. He is now my foster dad! I sat by the side of the road hoping my litter mate would get up, but he could not. My now foster dad was able to get me into a safe area and into his car. I am living with my foster mom and dad now, but need a very good forever home, one that will make sure I am safe and loved.
Approximate age / weight: 8 months old. Weight 21 lbs.
Personality: I am very sweet and have a wonderful temperment. I get along well with other doggies and cats, and I love to play. I am doing really well with my house manner and am learning my basic commands. I'm such a good girl!!
