THIS IS LINDY....a statuesque, gorgeous, cream w/ black tips/mask, 1.5 yr old, 25 lb, Lhasa Apso/Wheaten mix....we think....but whatever she is, the combo works! She is just on the verge of being a small/medium dog, very athletic....and more of her to love! This little lady was stranded at the Bakersfield Shelter, where she had been exposed to Parvo, and they were going to euthanize her! There was no way she was getting out of there without help. We went to bail her and could not believe what a great little (well, not so little!) gal she was! She is a happy, loving, cuddlebug....she needed work on her jumping up on people... and, well, she's still a work in progress!! She is very puppy in nature and that includes being a little mouthy! So, we got her a trainer and she is doing great....still...a work in progress ! She's good with most everyone...including cats and birds!! She does come with a free session in your home by her trainer, Michael Sailor! Dogs don't come with a manual and if they did, first they'd have to learn how to read! Lindy greets everyone with a kiss and a happy paw...but when you tell her no, she listens and when you tell her to sit, she does! With consistency, this girl is fantastic. She is a different dog than she was when she first arrived, but her training needs to be enforced. Lindy is the kind of dog even a guy can have and not feel like he is walking a little "fluff ball!" She would LOVE to go running with you (as she should), hiking, camping and she would protect you on all counts! That's the Lhasa in her! Exercise is going to be a key to the success with this active girl. She also seems to be potty trained (no guarantees, but please have a yard!) and loves being with most other dogs! She would be fantastic in a home with older kids (little ones she might knock over!), but if she has another dog in the home, it should be bigger than she is. She needs a home that will give her lots of love, attention and a commitment to training will be a key to success with this girl! Lindy is a winner...let her dance into your heart!

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
