My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katie was rescued from the kill shelter. She has a very unusual story. She lived with a man and his little girl. He abandoned the little girl and the dog and Child Protective Services gave custody of the little girl to her grandmother but the grandma couldn't take the dog so she brought her to the shelter. Katie is PERFECT with kids, and she's very loving, laid back and has good manners. Katie will jump a fence quite easily but it is only to go stand at the door because she wants to be with you. Katie loves to ride in the car and she's great with dogs too. She is not very large at all (her pictures are deceiving because they're closeups...she's a great compact size.)
