My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WALTER is an approx. 5 yr old neutered, male Scottish Deerhound X. Walt walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, and uses his dog door!! He has been extremely patient raising litters of kitties and puppies!! Walt's current best-friend is Simon, a chihuahua X, and Patron, a border collie X!! He came from a place where they had too many dogs so he wasn’t too sure about the other dogs here at first but he has gotten over being defensive to them. Walt loves walks, being brushed, and dipping his paws in the pool!! He also loves to show off his agility in the large, fenced yard at 4PAR! He is great with horses and enjoys being a part of the daily chores around the rescue! We were told that he may have previously had some very harsh treatment by a man. He can be timid meeting new people but warms up quickly and will follow you around all day! He would be a perfect dog for a retired couple since he is so quiet and likes a routine.
