My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Taffy, a very sweet and heartbroken 10 year old female chow mix. You see, my elderly owner couldn't take care of me anymore, and I ended up at a rural pound. My gentle soul just couldn't handle the loud barking dogs and the chain link run, and I became very depressed. I'm such a good dog, so very gentle and quiet, that the volunteers at the shelter all loved on me as much as they could, but it just wasn't the same as being in a home. So I came to Young at Heart, and though I am still heartbroken, I am very happy to be in a home again. I walk gently on a leash, am fine with other dogs and cats, and would be a great companion for someone who is retired, or who has another dog to keep me company, as I came from a home where I enjoyed the company of both! I am healthy and love to go for walks, am perfect in the car, and am very quiet so far. I am very polite, sleeping by the foot of your bed, or at your feet, but never ask to get up on the furniture. I'm a very well-mannered girl, and though I may take a little bit of time to mend from my broken heart, you will fall in love with me easily!
