Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ronon came into our lives in Jan 2007. I found him eating out of the garbage on a back road full of fleas, just skin & bones. I got out of the truck and he immediately came over and was happy to see me like he knew I was going to save him from the horrible life he had lived thusfar. He was named after a warrior on Stargate Atlantis (sci-fi tv series). He was not neutered and positive for intestinal parasites as many dogs on the streets are. He had also broken his front leg previously & it healed incorrectly causing him significant pain when he walked. We neutered him & treated him for his intestinal parasites as well as giving him the love he deserved. During his first couple of months with us, he also had surgery to rebreak and pin his left front leg that had previously been left to heal incirrectly after a break. Dr. Callum Hay at Veterinary Surgical Services performed the surgery for him.
He remained at our facility for a year before a home was found for him. He lived with this family for 2 years. Sleeping with the 10 year old son and being his best friend during that time. The owner chose to add in 2 more dogs (both of which were intact) and he and the male dog got into 2 fights while the female dog was in heat. We were called again and we begged the owners to return him to us. The son was heartbroken, but the owners did the right thing and got him out of the bad situation. We welcomed Ronon back to us with open arms in Feb 2010 as he has always held a special place in our hearts! When he was returned to us, he had a broken lower canine tooth that was infected and required extraction. We performed that surgery and he had his teeth cleaned at the same time.
Ronon does not like cats, but has always gotten along with other dogs at our facility & while out on tour with PSBR and loves all people & kids!!!
Recently, Pit Stop Bully Rescue has taken him under their wings and had an amazing photo session with The Pet Project to show him off!! He was also able to be in a photo shoot with Rescue Ink. He enjoys his trips to rescue events as he gets to hang out with other dogs looking for their forever homes as well as meeting tons of people and getting attention which is what he loves the most! Ronon does have some special requirements due to his previous leg injury and his arthritis in his joints, but as long as he is on his joint supplement, he does very well & loves to play and run & fetch toys!!!
