Update 2/12/11: Meet Terry, an adorable 1-2 yr old Maltese-mix. He was rescued from a kill-shelter. He's such a sweetheart.
Terry is staying in a foster home until he finds someone to adopt him. We are still getting to know Terry, but he is energetic and very loving towards our volunteers. Terry's foster mom is working on house-training with him, but Terry is currently paper-trained.
Terry would love for someone to adopt him that is willing to continue his basic obedience and house training. Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this dog? Fill-out an online adoption application via
www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.
While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.
Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we
do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as
easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit
www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
