Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gwinny is about 1-year-old, a 10 pound bichon mix. Her coat is whiite with a lot of beige along her back and ears. She is shy but loves people and seems to do well when introduced to other dogs. The shelter said she likes to be held, enjoys going on walks, likes to play with other dogs, does well around puppies and she doesn't bother cats but prefers not to go around them. Gwinny did well with her bath and was very patient during her scissor cut, but became concerned when the hair dryer was introduced. I think with time she will accept the dryer. She is fond of gentle brushing and likes to sit on your lap and give kisses. She likes toys and takes treats out of your hand gently.
She is very sweet and patient but tends to just lay down when she sees someone approach or come towards her. She does not seem to understand that she might get stepped on and to get out of the way of that danger, and because of this behavior, an active home is not recommended. I would not like to place her in a home with children as children forget and may accidentally hurt her. Most dogs know better and watch for this. Gwinny would however make a great companion for a single person or couple in the 40-60 age range, or in a home that is a quiet home and slow moving. Also, we are not sure of her potty training status, and this may be something that a patient new adopter will have to work with her on to achieve success.
We just got Gwinny, so she still needs to be spayed, receive her rabies shot, microchip, heartworm check, along with her vet exam. We will complete this prior to adoption. Until then she will not be available to go to her new home, but feel free to apply for her now, as this will allow us time to evaluate all applicants, and to choose the very best match to insure her happiness as well as the adopters'. Gwinny is an absolutely darling, sweet little girl.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vet checked, current on vaccinations, microchipped, groomed, de-wormed, de-flea'd, and come with a collar, leash, ID tag, and puppy kisses from the lucky dog you take home!
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Gwinny, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form. GWINNY IS BEING FOSTERED IN ROSEVILLE.
