THIS IS THE KIPSTER!!! Kippy is an especially handsome, 1.5 yr old, 11 lb, tan with black tips, Shih Tzu/Lhasa, who came to us from a shelter in the remote high desert. Kippy lived in this shelter for 4 months, after being found wandering the desolute desert alone -- he's lucky to be alive! Pretty terrifying for a young, small, dog! Remarkably, he seems to have survived the experience -- clearly he's a sturdy little guy! Kippy loves people, toys and treats. He's a little iffy when it comes to other dogs, as he has had little to no socializing and really doesn't know doggie etiquette. BUT HE LOVES THEM AND WANTS TO LEARN!!Because he has spent so much of his life in a crate, which he DOES NOT LIKE, Kippy is not always sure how to approach other dogs, although he is NEVER aggressive -- just a little awkward. Once properly introduced, he is uproariously playful! Kippy will need a patient, experienced human with an understanding of canine "p's and q's" to help him through....and training to help him understand what is okay and what is not! Kippy will put a smile on your face no matter what your mood! Watch him for five minutes -- he is a walking, running, prancing lesson in "joie de vivre." No one was ever happier to be out of a crate and living in the world than Kippy!! Toys, treats, other dogs, walks, people, hugs, a bed -- every one of these is a new source of ecstasy for him. He is pure joy! From a crate in the blistering hot desert.... to the run of your happy, welcoming home and yard -- help us give Kippy's story the happy ending he deserves. *Because of his early experiences, Kippy's new home must have another dog (either young and playful or older and tolerant) and you must either work from home or take him with you, or have a situation where he can be contained without a crate (gated kitchen, etc). He is not quite potty trained but will learn with coaching! He is an adorable, wonderful little man. Not a dog for a senior home or a first time dog parent.
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

We hold our adoption events most every Sunday from 10am - 3pm at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064).. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
