Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tank and Tico
Smart, Young and In Love
This is a Valentine Story that is sure to warm your heart.
The plan was incredibly smart, even for a Siberian. If you are lost, scared and hungry, who better to turn to turn to than the Marines and FBI? That’s how it all started, we got a call from Quantico asking if we could help out a young Siberian male that was found on base. This sweetheart was such a love - very friendly and starving for any attention he could get. We decided to name him “Tank”.
We soon learned Tank had a sidekick, a lil’ buddy, and apparently they were a team. This little girl seems to be a Wheaton Terrier/Bearded Collie and we named her Tico (Short for Quantico).
Tank and Tico are inseparable. Tank would not even leave his cage or get into the rescue van unless Tico was at his side. The past history of these two is unknown, but we know that their love for each other is strong and we simply will not be able to separate them. They have lost their home, but still have each other. True love in its simplest form.
Tank and Tico are presently in a temporary foster home soaking up attention, enjoying some much needed grooming and sleeping on big, soft blankets. They are gems – no issues whatsoever with these two and they are wonderful with kids.
They are scheduled to be vet checked and once they get the A-OK they will be ready to find their forever family… together. Applications are being taken at this time. But remember, they must be placed together. Two hearts and a whole lotta love!
A very special thanks to Liz with the U.S. Coast Guard who contacted us about these two wonderful dogs… And to the Marines who go above and beyond for our four legged friends.
