My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taco is a beautiful, smallish (only 38 lbs) 3-year-old, Chow Chow who lost his home due to conflict between former owners (it seems Taco was mainly the husband's dog). Taco is a very typical Chow. Quiet, reserved, devoted, clean and very housebroken. -- Friendly and trusting, once he gets to know new people and warm up to new situations. Taco previously lived with a cat and is indicated by former owner to be very GOOD and playful around CATS. Taco did not have much exposure to other dogs and kids and is generally shy around them. An adult home, preferably with Chow knowledge and experience and perhaps with a cat or two would be best for Taco. Taco is already neutered, healthy and is currently being boarded with a dog trainer. The trainer says that Taco is a very good and easy dog as long as people take it slowly with him. If unsure about something, Taco backs off, rather than showing aggression. Taco is sure to shine if with the right people who can help to build his confidence and help get him more comfortable and familar with new situations.
