My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amelia is up to 2 yrs old, ~30 lbs, and the sweetest dog I've ever rescued. It's hard to get a good photo because her fur is dark brown, but she's really cute. She would be good with someone outdoorsy (riding, hiking, or at least a family with a big fenced yard) who is looking for a constant companion as she is a 'velcro' dog and likes to stay near her people. She likes the water, romping and playing, and then loves to cuddle after a day of fun. ~90% potty trained so far; she has an occasional accident if not let out regularly. She has not had any formal obedience training of any kind but is eager to please. This dog was very fearful when rescued from a local shelter in March. She has come out of her shell quite a bit, and will make someone a fantastic pet. Great with gentle kids and animals; would do best with a friendly dog to pal around with or a person who wants a constant sidekick. I need to screen for a non-aggressive environment as she had an adoption pending in April, but the other dog was too roudy and dominant. Please email for more info or application.
