Hey there! My name is Balboa, and I am 8 weeks old (12/14/2009).
My adoption fee is $425 up front - but when you get me spayed, New Leash will refund you $125 upon showing proof that my spay was completed. This means that my total adoption fee is a net of $300.
I'm an active guy and love being held. I like running around with my brothers and sisters, and love to play with stuffed animals! My foster Mom says I'm a little quieter than my siblings - I REALLY love to snuggle!
At this young age, I have no idea what things like housetraining and crate training are. But, when you take me outside onto the grass, I will do my bathroom business - so my foster Mom says that's a really good start!
And what the heck is that thing that I see around bigger foster pups' neck? My foster Mom calls it a collar with a colored rope called a leash attached - but why anyone would want to wear it is beyond me! It sure looks like it makes it tough to run where you want to with that thing on!
Because of my eventual puppy nippiness and energy level, I will not be adopted out to a family with children under the age of 8 years old. This is because children younger than 8 generally do not understand how to effectively redirect my puppy behavior and may think I'm trying to hurt them when all I'm doing is being a typical puppy!
I've been dewormed and have had my first of three puppy vaccinations. I've also had my first monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
