Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We saw Huckleberry at the South LA shelter and just knew he had to come into The Squad. This gentle giant is a Rottweiler/Blue Tick Coon Hound mix (really!) and is 110 pounds of pure muscle. His 70 year old guardians turned him into the shelter because he was just too big for them. Huck knows commands and once persuaded nicely, he will walk correctly on a leash. But he can be pretty hard headed and will need an experienced Rottweiler owner. Huck doesn't have a mean bone in his body....he just likes to see how much he can get away with. We've seen him back off from a hissing cat and walk away from a growly dog. His personality is unique...he needs to explore/sniff everything on a walk and will "point" if he sees something of interest. And he has the goofy playfulness of a Rottweiler and he bonds very quickly to his favorite person. This is a great, handsome, unique dog and will bring lots of joy to the right family. And as you can see from his picture...Huck is GREAT with kids.
