My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Indie, aka Miss Indiana Spring, checked into Camp Chaos after a whirlwind adventure in Alabama. She is a Catahoula / Black-Mouth Cur / maybe Lab mix & approximately 8-10 months old. Her loyal nature is obvious from first meeting her. She only weighs 37 lbs, but we do expect her to grow a little more & be a medium-size girl.

Her foster parents can't say enough good things about her! Indie is doing great with leash walks & loves her backyard playtime with her 4-legged sister, Sheba. Fetch is quickly becoming her favorite game.

She loves being around people & has a super-secret, stealth-like maneuver for climbing into laps. Indie likes to take it slow & climb into her foster parents' laps for well-deserved snuggle time & gives tons of kisses. While she stayed at Camp for Thanksgiving, she brought much joy to Frodo & Cloudia with her playfulness & sweet demeanor. She did climb a 4 ft. fence, so prospective adopters need to have a taller fence if they plan on leaving her in a fenced-in yard unattended.

Her favorite toys are the rubber kind or tennis balls. Indie loved playing catch & fetch while she was with us. She probably loves the soft toys filled with cotton more, but we didn't have any for her to destroy, I mean, play with when she came over.

Indie is great with other dogs of all sizes, from Yorkies to German Shepherd Dogs. Her eagerness to please people is making her easy to train. She has been crate-trained, which she hates when she's alone, but she is still learning about boundaries so she stays there when no one is home or it's bedtime. While at Camp, she stayed in the mansion (otherwise known as an extra-large wire kennel) with Frodo, & she was content. If you are blessed to work from home, Indie would be extra-especially happy so that she doesn't spend so many hours home alone. The nature of a Catahoula is a very devoted nature; they crave to be with their human all the time, regardless of what they're doing or where they're going. Indie definitely is a devoted dog, following me everywhere & wanting to be in the same room with me all the time.

Indie is spayed & current on her vaccinations. She is heartworm negative. We are grateful to have had this baby 'Spring' into our lives after getting out of animal control. Miss Indiana is a soft & sweet little girl with a beautiful tiger-striped coat just waiting to find her own furever family. With her loyalty & loving nature, she will make the perfect companion for someone special!

All Camp Chaos dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. There are no exceptions. Thank you for understanding.
