Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Miracle. I am a BEAUTIFUL gal who is SO READY to find my own home. I have a gorgeous white coat with coal black eyes. I am cheerful and happy and smile with my whole face. And would you believe I LOVE cats! I would probably do best in an all adult household simply because I’m not sure if I like children or not… (I haven’t been tested with them). As for grown folks, I like everyone I meet. I am currently in temporary foster care, so if I come to live with you, there would be no need to quarantine me from other animals. I have already been spayed, vaccinated, and HW tested, so I am ready to go home with you TODAY! Please come and meet me, you won’t be disappointed….
- Approximately 1 year old
- Weighs ~ 40 lbs
- Heartworm tested (neg) & already vaccinated
- Miracle has already been spayed and is ready to go to her furever home.
- Currently in temporary foster care.
Miracle’s adoption donation fee is only $85.
This low fee covers all her vetting expenses.
Cherokee Shelter animals have only 5 days to find a home or rescue group. The Humane Society of Cherokee County’s volunteers work to save as many animals as possible. The $85 adoption fee includes Rabies and DHPP vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, and heartworm test.
We are very rescue friendly and try to make it as pleasant as possible for rescue groups to save Cherokee Shelter animals. Please contact us via email at cherokeeshelter@gmail.com regarding rescue policies and pricing.
Because of the short time we have to place animals, and the lack of a veterinary clinic at the shelter, neither the Humane Society nor Cherokee County can guarantee the temperament or health of any animals made available for adoption. We will never knowingly place a dangerous or sick animal. It is impossible in the shelter environment to reliably test dogs with cats or small children. Sometimes the stressful environment may create fearful responses even with other dogs that would not occur in a normal home setting. All animals are not compatible with all families, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption when we think the placement may endanger either the pet or the family.
All rescued/adopted pets must be picked up the same day as their veterinary services. Otherwise boarding and additional payment arrangements must be made in advance.
The Cherokee County shelter is located in Gaffney, SC just a few minutes off I-85 and only about 20 miles northeast of Spartanburg, SC and about 50 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC.
