Ollie is a stunning mix of what we think is Australian Shepherd and St. Bernard. Ollie was brought into the shelter when his family figured out that they had too many pets and not enough time to devote to them all. Ollie amazed the shelter workers when he walked through the door, tail wagging, looking at them hopefully with his ice blue eyes. He is honestly one of the most unique looking dogs we have ever seen.
Ollie is about 1.5 years old and weighs 75 lbs., but he is a bit overweight. He has the coloring and thick fur of a St. Bernard, but the face, eyes, and ears of an Australian Shepherd. He gets along fine with both of the dogs in his foster home, but seems to enjoy and play with the female more than the male. He is affectionate and loving with people and is thriving with all the attention he is getting. He walks very nicely on leash, and knows how to sit nicely for treats and toys. He will need to be brushed frequently to keep his fur in top notch condition.
Ollie is completely housetrained, up to date on all his shots, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is crate trained, but his foster family leaves him free in the house while they are out and he is perfectly behaved. He is friendly, happy, and obedient, and would fit easily into most family situations.
