My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m one funny-looking gal – I was given a French name – my head is a bit more like my Mom’s, who was a French Bulldog. My dad was a large Dachshund. I’m a little shy at first, but once I’m sure you are okay – I am very bubbly and happy. I tend to nip a lot – I’m only about 9 wks of age (7/12/09), so I just can’t help it – when I’m excited I jump up and nip.

I like to run around and get under / behind things – kinda the Doxie in me! I am not house-broken – too young for that kinda stuff.

I’m very uncertain of larger pups and dogs – there are several here at my foster home. I will need some patience and time to get used to a larger companion – so far I find them rather scary. My foster mom is helping me to understand they are not so bad and watching the larger ones to make sure they don’t get too rough – though just having them sniff me a lot seems too rough to me at times!

I will not be adopted to a home with kids under 12 – since I’m rather nippy and energetic.

I will not be adopted out with my brother Brickel – we need to go to separate homes – I tend to dominate him – heh, heh... My foster mom doesn’t think that’s cool and knows it will not make for a good long-term relationship, especially for Brickel.

I've been dewormed, am up to date with vaccinations, and am on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
