Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hope you'll come out to meet me Saturday, July 25th at PetCo in Collierville from 1 - 4 pm. If you can't adopt me, maybe you could bring me a new toy to play with. Woof-woof-bow-wow Thanks!
Cinderella is one of 7 pups rescued from Marshall County. They are about 8-10 weeks old and very lucky to have made it to a rescue group.
The mother looks like a border collie-cocker mix and weighs about 25 pounds. We don't know who the fathers were but feel these pups should be rather small when full grown...maybe 20 to 35 pounds.
The mother of these 7 pups has now been spayed so she won't have to worry about having any more pups. There were three female dogs living at the home and all are now spayed. Two of the females have had 2 litters each. We were told that the other three litters were hauled off to the woods to fend for themselves. Originally we took in 5 pups and made a call back to the family to bring the other pups if they could find them. Lucky for Stinky and Jewel, number 6 & 7 pup they also made it to a rescue group. Stinky was so thin you could see all of his ribs but his belly was fat from all the worms. He probably wouldn't have survived many more days there. The pets water source is the pond on the propery.
We still have another week of quarantine and then the pups will be set up for spay/neuters. They should be available around the middle of July to find there forever homes. If any little one ever needed help, these little ones surely did....and they got it!
Save 1 Pet is a 501 C 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless aniamls. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes and foster the animals until they can find a forever home.
If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to fill out our adoption questionnaire: Save1Pet Adoption Questionnaire
Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs is $95 which includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccines, worming and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verifications.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract.
If you can't adopt, you can still make a difference! Just click on the PayPal “Donation” button and let our homeless pets know you care enough to make a contribution to their care.
You may also mail your check to Save 1 Pet, Inc. at P.O. Box 1335, Olive Branch, MS 38654.
