Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ernie is a Black Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie Mix. He is Black with a tiny bit of white. He is around 5 months old. He is neutered and up to date with his shots. He weighs around 24 pounds.
Ernie is a outgoing snuggly pup. He loves walking around the house searching for all of the toys especially the rope toys because those are his favorite. He nosedives at them and then will carry them up onto the couch and chew on them gently with his friends. He gets very excited with squeaky toys because that's just another thing for him to play with, he'll also carry those around the house with him. When he goes outside he loves to do laps around the yard chasing his friends around, then he will walk off to find himself a private place to do his business and then go right back out into the mix of the fun. When you want him to come back in, at first he'll want you to give him his extra special one on one time, but then he'll tire out and follow you up to the stairs and back into the house where he runs off in search of some of his toys. At night he loves to find someone to cuddle with either a person or a dog. He likes to snuggle on either the bed, couch or one of his dog beds. He loves children, and their energy because they can keep him busy with their running around and playing.
Ernie would do well in a household with either children or another dog. He's very social and would just love to be the center of the family's attention, or would love to share the attention with a doggie friend of his own. He loves going for walks, especially when he knows there is going to be other dogs to interact with. He does do well in the car, and will curl up in a little ball and sleep most of the way.
Ernie is not aggressive with other dogs, she's been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
