My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is a Wirehaired Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier Mix. She is tan and black. She is around 8 months old. She is spayed and up to date with her shots. As well as Heartworm Tested Negative and has this month's Flea/Tick Prevention and Heartguard Plus. She weighs around 18 pounds.

Dixie is a little spit fire! She loves to be the center of attention. She'll walk around the house and find a lap to crawl up onto and sleep there until she is disturbed. She loves playing with plush squeaky toys and making all the other dogs play along with her. She runs around the back yard without a care in the world and enjoys the fresh cool breeze and other doggies to play with. Dixie then runs up the steps to get back into the house and jumps onto the couch and wants to cuddle some more. She loves to sleep wherever you are and feel safe knowing your around for her.

Dixie would do well in any household. She has alot of spunk and she can keep up with anyone with alot of energy. But she also loves to be pampered and fawned over so having her as your only dog wouldn't be so bad in her eyes.

Dixie is not aggressive with other dogs, she's been with small, large, young and old dogs.

At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
