Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alfie is an Australian Kelpie/Black Labrador Retriever Mix. He is Black & White. Alfie is around 10 months old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 25 lbs.
Alfie is a lovey dovey laid back little guy. He loves to be loved on, and adores extra attention. Alfie is very laid back for his age as well. He will lounge on the couch when you invite him up and just take naps during the day. He also likes to run off down the hallway with a toy and sits his head on it and then wakes up and starts to chew on it. Alfie is very good in the house, he will find a nice place to lay down and will lay down while your not being active. Once you get up he'll look up at you and give you a sweet look and kinda ask what your doing, and then he'll follow you wherever you go and then lay by your feet. Alfie loves to go outside to play with the other dogs. He'll go to the bathroom and then run off to find a toy, or another dog to play tag with. He's not too sure of the leash because he's never really been taught, but we are working on that. With his age he'll be able to get trained to walk on the leash without too much trouble. He also gets super excited when you are able to sneak him a piece of people food, he almost does a happy dance.
Alfie would do well in a household with smaller dogs. He's not going to get much bigger and he's more laid back so he needs a home without large dogs. He loves dogs but he would get played with too rough if at a home with larger dogs. He is very lovable and looks forward to car rides and he just sits in the back seat and curls up in a little ball. He likes to sleep either on the couch or in bed with you at night because he likes to feel secure and loved.
Alfie is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
