Introducing little Benz! At a whopping 10lbs, this big guy is nothing but fluff. He was born in April of 2014 and is a Papillion mix. Adventuring around and being with other dogs are what Benz does best, and he can’t wait to be added to your family!
Benz happened upon a little bad luck as his previous owners were going through some tough times and didn’t have the time to dedicate to this little guy. They trusted us to find him a good home and that is what we’re going to do! Cats are not the best companion for Benz because he enjoys chasing them far too much. Benz is crate trained and housebroken and he has been around kids but does not like all the hands in his face. As a nervous fellow, Benz needs a home with just adults and people that respect his space.
Dogs of all sizes are Benz’s best friends! It doesn’t matter if they’re small, large, giant, tiny, he doesn’t discriminate! In fact, Benz would do best in a home with another dog because they help him warm up to humans much faster. Though structured introductions are not necessary, Benz has never been to a dog park and we think he'd do best with one on one play dates, just because there is so much stimulation at dog parks and he can get overwhelmed. With other people, Benz is a little hesitant. He doesn’t run away and hide or anything like that, but it does take him some time to warm up and get comfortable. Loud noises can make the boy jump, but nothing overwhelms him more than you would expect.
Cuddle time is just as much fun for Benz as play time. He’s super affectionate, but not needy. Daily walks are a great form of exercise, but darting around with his other 4-legged friends will suffice as well! Carmen, his current foster sister, is his favorite play mate to run around with :)
