Pearl - female Doberman Pinscher/Shar-Pei mix pup. Approximate. DOB 04/2008. Actually only the “mix” part is for sure; we’re just guessing about this mashup puppy’s heritage. She came into rescue after having been thrown from a moving car into the yard of a Long Beach resident. Though very thin, she didn’t appear to have been abused or injured, and she adapted happily to her new circumstances. Pearl quickly learned to live and play with other dogs, and she’s now crate-trained, house-broken, and making excellent progress on leash- and obedience-training. But she IS a large, energetic, playful puppy, with all a pup’s engaging (and annoying) antics, so Pearl’s adoptive family should have big-puppy experience and be committed to continuing her training. Pearl now weighs about 40 pounds, so it seems reasonable to expect an adult weight of around 60 pounds. But like her breeding, this is only a guess, not a guarantee.
