Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ella! Ella was found scared and alone under a bridge. She had four mammary tumors, a golf ball sized tumor on her face and was slated for immediate euthanasia at the shelter. SDH&H found out about her right in time, and took her into rescue. Ella had two surgeries to remove the mammary tumors and the tumor on her face. We discovered that the tumor on her face was melanoma. At first Ella was going to join our hospice program, but she has now been in foster care for over 3 months with no sign of tumor regrowth. She has healthy heart and lungs and perfect bloodwork. She has made so much progress, that our veterinarians feel comfortable releasing her for adoption. We know that Ella may have the cancer return at some point, but it could be in months, a year or even several years.
Ella is a sweet, quiet girl. She loves to cuddle and enjoys giving sweet kisses to anyone who shows her attention. She gets along great with other dogs and is very gentle and loving towards children. Her ideal home would let her sleep in bed, as she loves to snuggle close for a snooze. Ella loves to be a lap dog. She enjoys being outside and will stay by your side on walks.
