Hi there, I’m Callie. I’m 1 ½ years old and they tell me that I am a ‘sheltie mix.’ I am looking forward to finding a loving home and family. Right now I am a bit shy and insecure but I truly want to give and receive lots of love. I’ve been doing great with crate- and house-training. I also get along well with other dogs and they help me feel more confident. If I see that another dog feels safe and can relax, then I can relax a bit too.

The best person or family for me will have the patience to wait for me to feel safe before expecting me to be my silly, loveable self. I won’t be unsure forever, but I am probably more hesitant than other dogs who have had more worldly experiences than I have. A calm and somewhat structured house will make things predictable for me (routine will build my confidence) and having another well-adjusted dog around might help me also.
