Abilene is a female Wheaten Terrier/Maltese mix pup only 11 months old. She is a bigger sturdy size, currently weighing 20 pounds. Her adult, ideal weight should be right around 25-30 pounds. Abilene is a gentle, kind, sweet young dog. She is eager for attention but never any trouble. She will follow commands without hesitation and learns rapidly. Abilene most definitely wants to please her people and will try hard to win your favor in return for some loving strokes on the head or maybe a snuggle session. Abilene has a nice amount of energy for longer walks or playtime, but she is not hyper at all and knows how to settle down when its quiet time. She is excellent with other dogs, and absolutely excellent with children. She would be a wonderfully affectionate, all-around family dog. Abilene welcomes company and is not a barker at all. She will look to her people for direction and will follow your lead. Abilene rides well in the car and walks on leash with a harness. She greets other dogs and people appropriately when out in public and would love to join you for easy trips to the park or maybe even the beach. Abilene is just starting out in life and would love a family to bond to where she can feel like she has a secure place to call her own. Abilene is very healthy and ready for her new forever home today!
Abilene’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Abilene is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Vicki and Cecil and is ready for her forever home.
