My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, 3 yr old, 13 lb Safra is a gentle Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with Japanese Chin who was dumped in a high kill city shelter by her owner who no longer had the time for her.

You never know when you rescue a dog from the shelter what kind of personality the dogs have. Well Safra does have a level of anxiety and shyness when first meeting new people, but not aggressive at all. Her Foster Mom tells us that now when Safra is not busy playing with a toy, she likes nothing more than to curl up in her Foster Mom's lap or by her side for a cuddle and petting. She's also great around other dogs, but is not engaging at all with them.

Unlike many dogs with anxiety, Safra will bite at her back leg sometimes, but does not hurt herself and of course it's not all the time it's just random. Maybe at times she she feels stressed out. We have had her checked out by a vet because of her behavior issues and anxiety and even had an MRI done and vet said there was nothing physically wrong with her it's all behavioral. She would do best in a calm household so no children under 14 years of age. In addition, no cats as she does like to chase them!
